About

Sharing

Making Jesus' invisible kingdom visible by sharing life together.

We live in a fragmented culture where family, friends, school, work, and church are all social spaces we inhabit with no overlap.  Consequently, people feel isolated from one another and are profoundly lonely.  But the church is the community of Jesus’ kingdom. We are called to embody the truth of the gospel as we share our lives, our burdens, our possessions, our time, and our gifts with one another.

It was the pattern of the early church to meet corporately in the temple courts and then to meet in homes for fellowship and the “breaking of bread” (Acts 2:46). We call these home fellowships “Community Groups.” The purpose of  Community Groups is for a small, intimate group of people to rediscover and embody the “oneness” the first Christians experienced.   This happens as Community Groups participate in the following together:

  1. shared practices (CBR, Scripture Memory, etc.)
  2. shared meals (eating together A LOT!)
  3. shared mission (i.e. participation in a Missions Pathway)
  4. shared possessions
  5. shared life that extends beyond meeting times

Community groups are organized around the following:

  1. Proximity (Geography);
  2. Passions (Existing Relationships)
  3. Possibility (Calendars);
